West River Village coming to North Port

NORTH PORT — Wellen Park is getting a neighbor of sorts.

The West River Village development area will be built along South River Road, just a half-mile south of U.S. 41 near Wellen Park.

The site plan for the West River Village shows an extension of Playmore Road, crossing River Road near U.S. 41. Other intersections there are planned as well.
