Gigi Hadid’s Makeup Artist Loves This $3 Drugstore Staple
If you follow Gigi Hadid, you know that she kills the game with her makeup looks, and we’re getting an inside look at what her makeup artist, Erin Parsons, uses to get her glammed up.
In a recent interview with Fashionista, Parsons says she shops at Beautylish, Beauty Bay, Sephora and Net-a-Porter. To stock-up on her vintage finds, she hits eBay, Etsy, Ruby Lane and 1st Dibs. "If I’m going to buy [new] clothes, it's almost always from Net-a-Porter because it's very easy with the delivery and any returns and exchanges," she says. "With beauty, I’m usually just replenishing my makeup kit, so there are certain products I need, and they usually are particular, so may only be in certain stores and online shops." The products she always includes in her kit: MAC Eye Shadow ($19) in Taupe, Maybelline Sky High Mascara ($12) and Aquaphor Lip Balm ($3).

Parsons knows these products work on her clients, but she says she's willing to get more creative with her own makeup. "There are products that I always use that I know work for me—I’m willing to get creative, and I can sit for hours playing with my own makeup," she says. "On set, I don't have hours to play; I’ve got to move quickly, so there's not really an ability to try new products at that time. I need to know that it works and provides the finish or tone I need for the look."
Her go-to makeup routine includes Maybelline Dream Radiant Foundation ($13), Kim Chi The Most Concealer ($14) and Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder ($8). "On my lips, I use Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk Liner ($22)," she tells Fashionista. "I’m never without mascara—I change it up, but I’m currently loving Maybelline Sky High ($12). This is my daily look. Anything outside of this can get complicated because I change it up so much."
But, perfect makeup does not exist without proper skin care, and Parsons says she uses all the good stuff. She starts by cleansing with Biologique Recherche Lait U Botanical Milk Cleanser before toning with the cult-classic P50W. "Then I use Dr. Devgan Vitamin C Serum ($145). I’m loving Bioeffect EGF Power Cream ($215), especially as the weather gets colder. Eye cream is Shiseido Benefiance ($64). For lips, I sleep in Laneige Sleeping Mask ($22)." While she snoozes, she also wears Sio Patches ($50) on her forehead to prevent frown lines.
