City Commission OKs plans for $47 million mental health facility

NORTH PORT — The North Port City Commission voted unanimously to approve a master plan for a behavioral hospital.

Acadia Healthcare, a Tennessee-based company, has proposed to build a facility at 501 E. Price Blvd., which would primarily treat patients with mental health or substance abuse issues.
