Punta Gorda calls meeting for state of emergency

PUNTA GORDA — The city of Punta Gorda has called a meeting to declare a state of emergency in preparation of Tropical Storm Ian.

The meeting is planned for 9 a.m. Monday at the Military Heritage Museum's Gulf Theater, 900 W Marion Ave., Punta Gorda.
